Step into the world of suspense as acclaimed author and former journalist Keith Roysdon unveils his debut fiction novel, That October. Roysdon will be joined by the book's cover artist, Sara McKinley.

Set in a familiar version of Muncie in 1984, this thriller follows a group of high school students determined to solve a murder and rescue a missing girl--when the adults around them refuse to act. Local legends and landmarks make this mystery hit close to home!

Roysdon, a lifelong Indiana native now living in Tennessee, is known for his investigative writing and co-authoring of true crime books like Wicked Muncie, Muncie Murder and Mayhem, Cold Case Muncie, and Westside Park Murders with Douglas Walker. With decades of experience as a reporter and editor, his investigative work has exposed crime, led to police action, and won national and statewide journalism awards.

McKinley is also a lifelong Indiana resident and holds a Master of Library and Information Science from IUPUI and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ball State University. With over 20 years of experience at Muncie Public Library, McKinley is the Carnegie Library Manager and the archivist who oversees the Local History & Genealogy collections at MPL. She is a freelance artist and illustrator.
